We are pregnant with are second child and have chosen a girl's name. But if we have another boy we need a name. Our other son is Aiden Monroe. Our last name is Conner, so in my opinion Cooper Conner or any other name that starts with C or K would not be a good name. My thought only. Any help would be appreciated.
Boys names that do not start with C or K?
Based on your sons name and your last name, I'm thinking you're looking for Irish or Irish linked names? (I have a friend from Ireland named Aiden)
So I found this website:
http://www.namenerds.com/irish/modern.ht...
Some male names they had were:
Brandon
Shawn, Shane, Sean
Duane
Also.. http://www.namenerds.com/irish/anglo.htm...
Barry
Brendon
Rory and a bunch more.

Reply:It all depends on what kind of story you have, what the race of the children would be, or even species. Sci-Fi usually has very unusual sounding names. Xarielle for the heroine and Keppart for the guy, that kind of thing. If you're just doing a kid's book, it's fun to use a lot of names with explanations about why the parents chose them.
Marion Allison Jasper McKay. "My parents loved the name Jasper, but when they saw they'd been blessed with a little girl, they decided it could still be part of my name because it's a beautiful stone. I wish they'd liked Sapphires instead, because who wants to be named after a brown and red rock?"
For a boy, you could pick a name that has a fun, mischievous ring, perfect for making up silly rhymes, good or bad for the character. "Michael Allen Anthony Parker, had a dog who was a barker. Took him for a walk to town, then Spot went and knocked him down."

Why is boys names is so popular for girls right now?
I hear parents are naming their daughter Dylan, Peyton, and other ridiculous boy names. That's just awful! Totally lame! What the hell are they thinking? If this trend keeps it up you probably will be seeing guys with names like Vanessa and Tiffany in the future.
Why is boys names is so popular for girls right now?
I agree:
I have been seeing Ryan, Dylan, Peyton, Riley(although if it is spelled Rylee, it does look girly), Jordan, Jaydon, etc...Totally ridiculous!!!!
Reply:Actually Peyton is very much so a "girls" name.
Besides who decided what is or is not a boy or girl name?
Reply:I think its ridiculous too!! I know someone who named her daughters Jayden and Rylie, and I know a girl named Devon. It is aweful do do to your daughter. How fun is it to give a girl a girly name..why not pick something beautiful! I will never understand it!
Reply:well, it might sound funny now, but in a few years, it might change till you aren't used to how it used to be. and it's possible guys can take girls names too. take an example:
Leslie used to be a guy's name only, until some decades ago when girls started using it. now, it much more popular for girls, and i know people who laugh at guys who have that name. do they not get that leslie used to be for guys? (yes, i also hate the idea of girls being named taylor and tyler or whatever. it's weird!)
Reply:They want it to sound "sporty".
Reply:Taylor
Reply:i think some boy names are cute for girls, but i don't really like girl names for guys. like kelly or lindy for a man
Reply:I didn't know.
Reply:I do not see anything wrong with it. I do not think an individual should be ridiculed for their name, nor are some names labeled 'boy names' and others 'girl names'.
Reply:Yeah, same goes for guys having feminine names like Madison and Stacy! Payton I don't mind as much for a girl, or Riley, but names like Dylan, Jeremy, or Bryce (yes, I've seen it all) seems ridiculous.
http://www.babynames.com/namelist/938832...
Reply:I doubt female names will really make it over to the boys. I am more scared that we will lose all of our good boy names to the girls.
I personally hate unisex names (with a FEW exceptions: Quinn, Rhys/Reese, and perhaps some others.)
My theory is that parents think it's hip and innovative. Or, it will give their girls a better chance to 'thrive' in the workplace with a masculine name. Which, ultimately, sends the wrong message. It tells their daughters that they cannot succeed, be strong, or powerful with a feminine name. Which is false and sexist in itself.
Here's a prime example-- a few posters up said it it 'empowering' So, a Lily or Jessica or Annabel cannot be empowering? You fell for sexism.
Reply:Why ARE boys names so popular for girls right now is the question I believe you were looking for. I actually happen to love the masculine names for girls. I think it feels very empowering and it inspires "cute" nicknames for highschool. When I have a daughter I'll probably name her something like Alex or Sam. But those are getting too obvious, so I might think of something more like Aidan or Aaron.
Extra note: You're pretty rude. Ease up a bit or you'll have a hard time getting through life!
Cheers!
-Peter
PS. Sorry! Using "empowering" to describe boy's names on girls was completely tactless and unintentional. I assure you I am not a sexist bastard! :)

What are good unusual boys names in another language?
Something different, unusual, interesting like celtic, old roman or greek names, other languages, exotic?
What are good unusual boys names in another language?
Celtic names are lovely, but some are so unusual you might be put off by them.
Some Irish names have weird and wonderful spellings so your son might have problems with people not being able to pronounce his name.
My daughter is named Evelyn after her Irish grandmother but I went for the easier spelling rather than Eibhleann for her sake.

What are some girls names that cane be shortened to sound like boys names?
I'm writing a story and I'm having trouble with the name of one of my characters. She's a girl, and has a nickname that when people who don't know overhear, they think a boy is being referred too.
Other than Alexandra being shortened to Alex, are there any girls names that can be shortened to sound like boys names?

Boys names?
I have been thinking of names for my baby (who is not due til december) I have a lot of girls names already but I cannot think of any boys names! I like names that arent too 'unique' but not too common either. Any suggestions?
Boys names?
check out this link it gives you names and there meanings hope this helps you out.http://www.mybirthcare.com/favorites/bab...
its a great site for parents wanting to find names and what the meaning of the names are...
Reply:some names:
Benjamin, Zack, Trever,Luke, Cole, logan, Liam, Nolan, Todd Report Abuse
Reply:gabriel,julien,calvin
those names are just calling out for school bullies to kick his head in
back in the summer of 94 i went to sydney blacktown boys high and this kid named pierre french bloke came up to me pushed me so i decked him one
give him a name like jack or jake or bill or steven common names not "kick-in-the-head" names
and give it the middle name of the fathers first name
Reply:I've always said, don't name him anything he will get beaten up for later. Remember. HE has to live with what you name him, and some antiquated names, or if the name is too wimpy, or whatever, have to be considered. I personally like the name John for a boy. It is strong, and it's not one of these names that '60's parents used to express THEIR individuality through their kids(Moon Unit and Dweezil, anyone?)
Reply:For all my children, I have tried to give them a special meaning with their name. Maybe go to a baby name book and look up names with meanings that are important to you. Or name them after someone who is really important to you. My oldest is Max Jacobson after my grandfather.
Reply:Here are a few ideas. Hope they help! Good luck! Congrads!!!!!
