How do you like these three boys' names? Please tell me why not if you don't...?

The names are:

- Aeson (EE-son)

- Vander (nickname: Van)

- Atticus

Thanks ahead of time.

How do you like these three boys' names? Please tell me why not if you don't...?
not aeson--just because he name would be mispronounced constantly.

vander is not too bad...but i'd call him by the full name--not van--just cause it's a brand of shoe and name of vehicle

atticus is pretty cool, since it reminds me of "to kill a mocking bird"...but it's more of an older persons name... i couldn't imagine calling a toddler that.

it's cool that you are trying to be unique though.
Reply:I LOVE the name Aeson, but I pronounce it as Mason without the M.

I'm pretty sure I'll name my son Aeson Alexander. Report Abuse

Reply:I really like Aeson, I don't like Vander (reminds me of a superhero character or something) and Atticus is too old fashioned for my taste. I really don't want to put down your names though--you are the one who will say the child's name a million and two times a day, so pick one you like and that you think your child will also like. :) Good luck.
Reply:*For some really really strange reason, before clicking on this topic, I had a feeling I would see Atticus in your question.

Aeson - This name makes me really want to say AY-son, and if pronounced EE-son, it seems like it's mispelled. Not too crazy about this name. Appearance wise, how about Aeron, meaning "berry" in Welsh?

Vander - Would be a great nickname for Evander. I absolutely love Evander so I would suggest Evander over Vander. Seems more complete, and you can easily still use Van as a nickname. How do you like the name Vaughn, pronounced VAWN?

Atticus - Charming name. Not my favorite but still divine. I would say this is a definite keeper. Atticus Vander would be quite nice.

Reply:I think vander is cute, cus i love the nickname Van

but aeson would be constantly mispronounced.

my name is sarai, and people always say it wrong, and really, it gets annoying.

atticus just sounds odd

but odd is cool..
Reply:Vander and Atticus are good- classic but still quite nice. Aeson is unique, and I don't dislike it but it is unusual and might take a bit for someone to get used to, although that hardly matters.
Reply:Um honestly I think they're awful....

Aeson - just sounds weird

Vander - with the nickname van, sounds like a vehicle, or a brand of shoes. I detest names starting with V - it's such an ugly letter

Atticus - sounds like something from Greek mythology
Reply:i like Aeson, but not the way u spelled it. How bout Eason. Vander is nice for a middle name maybe. Atticus is cool, but you need a good nick name to use just in case.GOOD LUCK!!!
Reply:Aeson - no one will know how to say it. when i first looked at it i saw A-son.

Vander - my favorite name out of the bunch.

Atticus - too old fashioned.
Reply:Aeson-dont like so much. would get mispronouced ALOT. not very manly.

Vander-sounds like an unfinished dutch last name.

Atticus-sounds like a greek warrior. and a kid who will get made fun of alot...
Reply:Love Aeson and Vander but Atticus reminds me of the dad off of To Kill a Mockingbird.
Reply:I love Atticus, but not too sure about Vander and Aeson.
Reply:I like Aeson and Vander

But Atticus is a little TOO old fashion.
Reply:I love Atticus and i like Vander. nice names.
Reply:My nephew's name is Atticus Prowl.
