Boys Names?

I am looking for something different, not trendy, and not too far out there. Opinions on these names? (I'm not looking for other suggestions or middle names, just opinions on these first names)

Oscar is okay, but be prepared for 'oscar meyer weiner'


Angus reminds me of all the beef ads


stuart is fine, but having known several stuaarts, I can say that for a boy the nickname 'stuart little' is not a compliement


Jasper is fine, a pretty stone too, I think I like it the best


Linus of course reminds me of the snotnosed blanket carrying geek from charlie brown


Leoppold is a fine name, he can go by Leo for short which is cool. I have known a couple, and they were cool
Reply:Hate all of them. Sorry...How about John, or Joseph, or Peter, or Jerome, or Jeffrey, or Alexander, Christian, Christopher, James, Shawn, Jason, Brian, anything but those names. Remember a name is something that you have all of your life and some names are just terrible and kids end up teasing your child because of his or her name.

Angus especially would be an easy name to make fun of.


Oscar and Stuart are a little strange too. Linus is not too bad, and Leopold is okay cause you could always call the kid 'Leo'.
