What are some boys' names that could have the nickname Kit?

Yesterday I remembered a character in a story I read when I was little; his name was Christopher, but everyone called him Kit.

I really love the nickname Kit, but I'm not sure I like Christopher as much. What are some other boys' names (possibly just as traditional?) that have the nickname Kit?

What are some boys' names that could have the nickname Kit?
Funny, I've thought the *exact* same thing. I love the nickname Kit, but Christopher leaves me cold.

Here are a few other possible given names that could lead to Kit:

Christian

Cartsen (German form of Christian)

Carson, Carter (more of a stretch, but not by much)

Kitson (perhaps too literal, but a valid surname choice)

You could also consider any name that leads to the initials KT - Kyle Thomas, for example, could easily be known as Kit.
Reply:never heard of it, and kit is not a nickname for christopher, it was just a story.

You can name someone george and call him kit if you want. A nickname can be anything you want
Reply:I have search about that nickname but it's only for Christopher

sorry

here are some cool nick names http://www.thinkbabynames.com/search/1/n...
Reply:Name him what you like the best. And just nick name him Kit.

My three year old is named Zinan Fox, and we call him Monkey.

My eight year old son in Ronin Ash, and we call him Buddy.

So there you go.
Reply:Well you can name your son anything you want.

And then you can nickname him Kit.

A nickname doesn't 'have' to sound like your real name.
Reply:You can use any Name. Kit is cute but why does it have to come from a specific name. My daughter's nickname is "bird" her real name is Jeni.
Reply:Kris

Christian or Kristian

Keith

Re the answer above Kit was a nickname for Christopher before Chris became popular.
Reply:Maybe Kirt, but this link may help you!
