They let you keep a list of names you are considering, which other people can rate. That have a large database of names along with meanings and popularity ratings (how many other members have the name on their list, etc.). It's a good start.
Anyone have any good ideas for girls %26amp; boys names or websites with lists? dont know where to start!?

Reply:I'm not sure what style of names you prefer, but you might like the series of books written by Pamela Redmond Satran and Linda Rozenkrantz. They wrote "Beyond Jennifer and Jason," along with several follow-up books, like "Beyond Madison and Montana." Instead of just providing long lists of names with their origin and meaning, they discuss the "styles" of particular names, tell you what's overly-trendy, and have a lot of other interesting information:
