What do you think of these (old fashioned) boys names?

Do you like these names for boys?

Clyde

Felix

Axel

Jasper

Harlan

Alwin

Orrin

Be honest, I want to hear everyone's opinions and won't be offended if you don't like them. I'd love to hear which ones you like or don't and why. Also if you can think of any similar names (old, but rarely used nowadays), feel free to suggest them.

What do you think of these (old fashioned) boys names?
Felix reminds me of that cat cartoon, Clyde reminds me of Bonnie and Clyde, Axel makes me think of a car part.

Harlan, Alwin, and Orrin don't denote a strong presence to me. More of an mediocre effort to try to be original but forgetting that the names will be referenced for a lifetime.

Jasper feels strong and pronounced to me. It is a name that a person can grow with. The short for it, say Jas, has a very playful and original connotation. It feels versatile.
Reply:Clyde ~ Clyde Hopper yeah but no

Felix ~ the cat I don't think so

Axel ~ Yup Axel Rose who doesn't like that ;~) Really I like it I promies I do

Jasper ~ Love it

Harlan ~ not really as it reminds me of a Junkie but it sort of sounds like Harlow

Alwin ~ no it sound like All Win

Orrin ~ My friend from HS named her one of her two sons Orin the other is Gunar and her husband is Dylan ~ it is growing on me but not my favorite ~ maybe middle
Reply:Clyde is masculine.

Felix reminds me of the cat.

Axel is Rose.

Jasper is a funky name. I like it.

Harlan sounds redneck.

Alwin and Orrin -- no comment

Old-fashioned boys' names that are popular in Australia right now are Nathan, Harry, Angus, Ethan, Clive, Guy, Samuel, Caleb, Callum, Liam and Ned (nickname for Edward).

Good luck.
Reply:Axel, Harlan and Jasper are totally cool names. Love them. I have a son with the middle name Axel and it is a fantastic name.

I am not a fan of Clyde, Felix, Alwin and Orrin. Sorry.
Reply:To be honest, I think Jasper and Felix is a nicer name ( "cool" that's how it sound) I kinda like it anyway... ... I don't think it is odd I have a little brother called Clyde.
